Happy Saturday!

Last night, I had so much fun. My friend and I took her little one (who is three) to Greenfield Village, where they have a special Halloween thing. It was a chilly night, and a bit crowded for my taste, but just a ton of fun. The path's were all lit with Hand carved Pumpkins, and the kids got to trick or treat at different stations and got some goodies. Plus I got some Activity Points for all the walking!

The scale has been happy the last couple days, and I'm really hoping it stays that way, because it will be a great loss this week.

I've done ok on the food front this week. Not great, but I have counted everything I've eaten, and I still have flex points left, so thats good right?

I had the pleasure of trying some Edys Pumpkin Ice Cream last night, and it was so yummy. Hard to eat just one serving that is for sure!

Other than that, no serious plans for the weekend, but I'm sure I will come up with something exciting to do and post about on monday.

Hope you all have a health and happy weekend!

Weigh In and The Weekend.

So this morning at Weigh In, I was up 1.2 pounds, which is my normal TOM gain, so I'm not going to sweat it. Although it ticks me off, I jumped on the scale Friday and Sunday, and you know what, I was actually down .4lbs, and then up 1.2 today....why does the scale have to be so fickle. But at least I know I will see a good loss next week, which will be motivating.

So I've decided to revise my goals. Initially when I set out on Weight Watchers last January, I set my goal at 145lbs. Somehow, over the course of the last 10 months, it's gradually worked it's way down to 140, and 137 as a personal goal. I don't even know why. 145 was a good goal, a doable goal, somewhere I would be happy, so why did I let the goal I set for myself by 8lbs under this? Do we do this on purpose, keep moving that goal lower and lower based on other people's goals, or based on where people are telling us we should be? Well Weight Watchers has my healthy weight range as 131 to 158lbs, and I think 145 is a good goal. Would I like to be a little less than that? Would I love to see the 130's? Yes. I've never been in the 130's since I was grown, even when I was skinny, so why should I try to get there now? So what does this mean? My new goal is 145. It's a perfect goal for me. It's where I wanted to be when I initially set out, and that's where I am going to end up!

Other than that, nothing much new on this end. I've still been fighting a cold/allergies for the past couple weeks, which is taking it's toll on me, but I'm happy to say, I've almost kicked it.

Nice healthy week of meals planned here. I'm trying to remember what's on the chopping block for meals, here they are. Southwestern Macaroni Salad, Vegetable Beef Casserole, Garlic Clove Chicken, Tuna Spaghetti Pie and there is another one, but I can't remember right now! Macaroni Salad is dinner tonight. Recipe will be posted if it's a winner.

Have a safe, healthy and happy day bloggers. Back to work for me!

An Awesome Weekend.

You know, it's not very often that I say I had an awesome weekend. But I did. It was great. Let me tell you a little about it, but first, my weigh in this morning was down .2 pounds

All in all, the bad of the weekend included me over eating on Saturday. I honestly don't know what came over me. I was making peanut butter cookies, and I did great, I only had one, and then I counted it and everything, and then I went into bottomless pit mode and ate everything in site. I knew I wasn't doing good, and at that point I threw in the towel. Although I did top it off with a healthy dinner. Once I got home from dinner with the family, It hit me like a ton of brick. A cold that is. I started feeling the chills, I got a headache, I plugged up, the throat hurt, I just felt miserable.

Sunday was pretty much, more of the same. I felt like crap, and spent more of the day on the couch watching tv and drinking green tea. I did stay on plan though, and ate within my points, so that was a good thing.

Why was this an awesome weekend you ask? It sure doesn't sound like one right? Bad Eating, being sick. But it was Friday that just made my weekend great.

I met a great guy on Friday night. We went out for drinks, and it went great, and better yet, he didn't even wait for 12 hours to ask me out again! We're going out again tonight, and even with not feeling so great, I have a smile from ear to ear. Pending everything goes good, I will let you guys in on some details very soon. But that's what made my weekend so awesome!

I hope everyone is having a great, healthy and happy day!

Not such a great weekend.

Now, it's not very often that I have a "bad" food weekend, but this weekend was one of them, and the scale showed it this morning. I knew it wasn't going to be pretty, I ate bad, and I didn't drink my water. So I'm hoping when TOM finally get here, I've drank a gallon of water, tomorrow will be better.

I honestly don't even know what got into me this weekend, Friday night went off without a hitch, and Saturday went well too, up until about 1030 (past my normal bedtime I suppose!), I got into the triscuits and hummus, and then into the graham sticks and peanut butter, and then into the ice cream. I didn't eat a ton of each, but a little bit of each is alot of calories.

Yesterday went off well, I was eating totally on schedule until I got to my parents house, and my body was ready for it's 330 snack, and dinner was suppose to be at 4, so I was avoiding eating, well then dinner got pushed back, and I got to snacking, and I hit the nuts. Almonds and Pecans to be exact, at least they were the good raw kind, not the roasted, salted or sugar coated ones. Then I got into the trail mix, and finally we sat down for dinner, which was planned to be my cheat meal for the week (Abs Diet allows one meal where you can eat what you want), and I had some meatballs, mashed potatoes and sweet corn. Needless to say, I was overstuffed (which I HATE that feeling) when I left my parents. The rest of the evening was fine. I made Blondies for work today, and I did split one with the roomie, but after that day, is that really an issue?

On a high note, on Friday night I did my first interval training, and it whooped my butt. I was totally tired and sweaty when I was done, so that was a plus. Then Saturday I did my first weight workout, which was by far one of the most intense workouts I have ever done with weights...ever. They have you do circuits, which wow, it's rough. By my second set of lunges, my legs couldn't go past 7 in the reps. They almost gave out. I guess thats a good thing though, it means I'm working out hard enough!

So after my workout on Saturday, My legs were exhausted, so I knew they were going to be sore, but I had no idea just how sore. I seriously haven't been able to move for two days, I've never had my butt hurt....but it does now!

Tonight I have another interval workout, I can imagine that is going to be pretty hard being that I'm having a hard time walking. But this is the point where usually I get out of the habit of going to the gym, just because I will go, I will be sore, and then I will "take a break" until I don't hurt anymore, then I don't end up going back. So, needless to say, I'm going tonight!

Other than that. I've upped the calories I'm taking in to between 1500-1800 a day since I'm working out harder, I don't want to put my body into starvation mode. So I'm back on plan today, and I'm going to be strict for the next two weeks, no cheat meals!

Other than that, nothing terribly exciting going on. It's finally cooling off here in Michigan, I just love the fall. Even more so, I love October, the leaves changing, the cool weather, I just love it, so I can't wait!

I hope everyone is having a good on-plan day, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things!

It's been awhile.

Sorry it's been so long since an update, We are short-handed at work this weekend, and up til today it has been NUTS!

My weekend went well. My roommate was out of town Thursday night thru Tuesday morning, and I decided it would be a good time to get her room sanded, primed and painted like I've been wanting to do. So all weekend I spent doing that. I even hung my first ceiling fan! And it hasn't fallen off the ceiling yet! But needless to say, I finally got her room back together about 8p on Monday night, and it looks great, but as a result of overworking this weekend, I started coming down with a cold on Tuesday, and then I've been exceptionally busy here at work, so I am really looking forward to a quiet weekend of relaxing, it's much needed.

The ABS Diet Principles are working well for me. I'm eating 6 meals a day, and I don't feel hungry very often. I'm using spark people to track the calories, and I'm doing well. I'm still hovering in my lower maintenance range even with TOM on his way, so i'm expecting to possibly be under 150 again once he packs his bags and leaves.

I'm starting interval training and some total body and abs conditioning involved with the Abs Diet next week, I was planning to start this week, but this pesky cold had me not feeling like much.

I'm so sorry for the lack of comments on blogs, I'm trying to catch up!

I hope everyone is having a great, healthy and happy day!

Weigh in tomorrow!

Weigh In

I totally forgot to post my weigh in Friday at work, silly me!

I was down a pound from the week before, so not too bad, I lost what I gained in water weight, and the little gain from the week before that, so I am happy.

I've been busy, busy today. I went and did some running around this morning, and picked up a bag of 5 dozen ears of sweet corn, which I husked them all, and froze the corn for good corn in the winter time. I would love to do another 5 dozen ears (which yielded me 10 quart bags full), but we'll see if it happens.

It's beginning to look like rain here, which I was hoping to get to walk the dog before that happened, but at least I did manage to get in a 30 minute Rollerblade.

My eating has been ok. I've been kinda munchie lately, I don't know what it up with that. I have a tendency to eat when I am bored. It's one of the habits I've been trying to break with keeping busy! I haven't been bored, I guess I've just been hungry. Not necessarily nibbling on bad things, but I want to get it under control for sure, so I'm gonna be working on that.

Also, I've been thinking that I will be ready to switch into loss mode here in another month or so, the break has been nice, but I would like to get a little more weight off before the holiday season, since I know I will probably inevitably put back on a little.

Other than that, nothing terribly new over here in Michigan! I hope everyone is doing great!

The Weekend.

Well I was in such a hurry to get up north of Friday, I forgot to post a weigh in! Opps!

I was up a pound, which I'm not sweating because I know it's water weight from TOM, and usually the gain is more of the tune to 1.2 to 2lbs, so it's cool.

I had a fabulous weekend up north, the weather was great, sunny and warm. I got some water skiing in, and some swimming.

The eating, I could've done better, but I certainly could have done a ton worse too. Due to that (and not drinking my water) I was up when I got home. But I was down almost a pound again this morning, so the water weight is coming off.

I made some good Orange-Glazed Cookies I found a recipe for yesterday, and the guys here at work seemed to eat them right up. I'll try to post a recipe later on, they are definitely very summery, and different.

Other than that, everything is going great, and this week, the weather is suppose to be cooler...yay! I hope everyone is having a great day and had a great weekend!

Rain, Whats that?

Well it's finally been raining here. For the last couple days, we've had a few good showers, which was much much needed...the hayfield I call my grass is finally beginning to look a little more like grass again, and I believe my lawn company actually had to cut it this week....amazing. Currently it's raining. It's only 70 outside, but due to the humidity it feels all sticky a stuff...yuck.

Food wise this week, I've done pretty well. I've been a tad munchy, but with TOM coming, thats really not a surprise. My weight is up, but still well within my range, but I know this is because of water weight and not a true gain, so I'm cool. Tomorrow I do expect the scale to be up 1 to 2 lbs, which is totally normal.

Tonight I am going to do some baking again. I think my mom uses company coming up north as a way to make me bake for her, haha. She requested that I make Snickerdoodles to bring up north for her to put out, which is fine with me. So I have a batch of those to bake tonight. After baking them, I will be avoiding them like the plague, as they are a favorite of mine, none of them will make it up north if I get started on them....and I will be weighing in like 8lbs heavier next week. I'm also going to make my mom a coconut cream pie. They are her favorite and I've never tried to make one for her, but I'm gonna give it a whirl tonight. Luckily Coconut Cream Pie doesn't appeal to me, so I can bake as many as I want!

But after all that baking, I'm heading up north in the morning again. Its suppose to be a gorgeous weekend and I'm totally looking forward to it. I'm making my family dinner on Friday night up there to avoid them wanting to take me to a buffet again. I'm making them Stuffed Pepper Soup...yum!

Any of the cooks around here, have you ever subscribed to Cooks Illustrated? Used their website? Did you like it? I'm a subscriber to Taste of Home's Simple and Delicious, and I love it, and I'm always looking for new cooking magazines to subscribe to, so I was wondering if anyone used CI, or had any other favorites they used!

Anyways, that is it for today, Weigh In will be posted tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a healthy and happy day!

Another Monday!

Sometimes I literally have to come back to work to rest, and I think that is the case this week. I'm exhausted, but in a good way of course!

My weekend up north went great! The weather was gorgeous on Saturday, and the lake was perfect!

I left Friday morning about 945 for the north, and I got up there about 130. When I got there is was raining, but I was fine with that since we were having company up Friday night and Saturday, so my mom need help in the kitchen regardless. When I got up there, I was starving, and my mom had sandwich stuff, so I ate a sandwich. I was surprised at how gross I found real white bread (it was all they had). I don't remember not liking bread EVER, but I seriously thought it was gross, I love my light wheat bread now, haha. So I helped my mom in the kitchen, watched some tv and then they decided to do dinner....at the Casino buffet in another town about 30 minutes from them.

I was nervous about going to a buffet, I hadn't been to one since being on WW's, but I think I did well. I had a little bit of everything. I wanted a perogie, so I got one, cut it in half, and left the other half for garbage. I did the same with everything else. I left there feeling satisfied, but not overly full, which was great. I know the food was high in sodium, and probably not the best, but I didn't go crazy, so that was good.

Saturday I spent all day out on the water, swimming, water skiing and tubing (for the first time in 5 years!), we had lunch which I controlled myself good too!

Needless to say the scale was up when I got home, but I had it down again this morning by about a pound, and I'm back in my "range". So I would say the weekend was a success! yay!

Suppose to be hot here this week, ugh! I think I will be opting to stay in on the couch and rest up, I'm exhausted!

Also yesterday I got a 30 minute Rollerblade in, and I managed to pick 2 quarts of raspberries and get my raspberry vinegar set up to do its thing for the next 3 or 4 weeks, so that was good.

Alright, I'm going to get back to work. I hope everyone is doing wonderful and having a healthy happy day!

Happy Monday

Well the weekend went very well. I had the house primarily to myself again this weekend (I just love that!). Friday night the roommate and I went to Mongolian BBQ for dinner, and had yummy stir fry. Then came home and just relaxed on the couch.

Saturday morning I got up and a headed out to get some hiking in with the dog. We managed to cover about 6.5 miles in about 1 hour and 50 minutes. It was a good workout, and the weather was great. I think next time I get a chance to go hiking I am going to try to do about 10 miles. When I got home from hiking I dropped the dog off, had some lunch and then headed out to stock up on my fruit for the week. Got home from that and spent the rest of the day baking zucchini bread, the real kinda, and then my "diet" version. The diet version didn't rise quite like the others did, but it still turned out really good, and only 2 points per slice.

Sunday I got up and was pretty much a lazy ass, haha. I finished baking zucchini bread, got laundry done, burned some CD's for one of my brothers, and finally around 5 decided to get out of my PJ's and go Rollerblading, which I did for about 45 minutes. After that made dinner, showered, puttered around some more and went to bed. As I said, a pretty lazy Sunday.

Overall eating wise the weekend went well. Stayed on program, didn't eat any flexies, but did eat some of the activity points. This weekend I'm heading north again, so I'm going to need to plan and pack accordingly.

The scale is heading back down, so that's encouraging.

Other than that, not much new here in Michigan. I hope everyone is having a healthy and happy day!

Weekend Wrap Up

I had a great weekend! To start it off when I got home on Friday I went out skating for about 40 minutes, then I prepared myself some dinner, enjoyed my quiet house (and quiet time!) and then headed to Mejier to get my groceries for the week.

Saturday morning I allowed myself to sleep in (because how often do I not have someone else in the house to wake me up, right?), I managed to sleep til 830, which is a victory in itself! After I got up, I had coffee and breakfast and despite the weather looking like rain, I decided to take the dog for a nice hike. So we his the Waterloo State Recreation Area trails, and hiked about 5.5 miles in 90 minutes. It was a great workout, and both the dog and I were exhausted when we got home. So needless to say, that required lunch and some lounging on the couch.

Sunday, I decided I was going to go Mountain Biking, until I realized I had a flat tire. But I didn't let this deter me in the mindset that I was going to get some activity in. So I went skating instead for another 45 minutes. Just kinda hung out the rest of the day, did housework, made myself dinner and took the dog on a 20 minute walk. Nothing to exciting.

So needless to say, a great weekend, and totally on plan, with activity! yay! Unfortunately the scale is up as of this morning, but that was to be expected due to TOM, so I'm not going to get all pissy about it.

I had a NSV of sorts again the other night. Well two actually. First one, I was standing there when I got out of the shower the other night, and for some reason I realized that my arms are looking really thin! I never really thought of them as "fat" but I always had bigger upper arms, you know the kind that couldn't fit into those cute little shirts without being tight around my bicep (I have a real athletic build). And I noticed they were looking rather slim, I was quite pleased! Also another one of sorts, the new jeans I bought the other day, I noticed that now that I "broke" them in a bit, they are actually kinda big, I'm thinking I should've bought the smaller size! Awesome!

Anyways, I hope everyone had a wonderful and healthy weekend! We are finally suppose to get some rain around here the next couple days, which is sure to happen since I spent Saturday night washing my truck! But we really need it, and so does my garden!

I'm alive, Really

I just realized how long it had been since I posted, wow. But I'm alive, I'm back!

I had a great time up north again this weekend, and I did manage to pretty much stay on plan for the weekend. I say pretty much because on Saturday at lunch time, I did have my sandwich and preplanned food, but my mom put a bowl of fresh picked up north Cherries in front of me. Needless to say, I ate a bunch, but I did count them, the best I could anyways. Plus, they were fruit, can't go too hog-wild on fruit right?

But needless to say, I managed to stay on plan pretty good, and this morning when I weighed myself I was only up .2lbs, so thats not bad. Hopefully I can get that and a little more off by weigh in.

Although TOM is approaching, and for some reason it's been screwing up two weigh in's lately instead of just one, very frustrating. But I'm praying for a small loss this week, and then my normal 1 to 2 pound TOM gain the following week.

I hate this week though, I get so munchie from TOM that I find myself having a ton of BLT's gotta get that under control if I want to see a loss.

Other than that, everything is going great. I got my first cucumbers out of my garden last night, so that was exciting. It's been hotter than heck here for the last two days, yesterday was 95, today is no better. Tomorrow is suppose to be 78, go figure.

And tomorrow I'm going to see Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, crazy excited!

Alright, back to work for me. But I hope everyone is have a fabulously healthy day!

Weigh In 7/6/07

Well I did it, I broke into the 140's on the scale...just barely, but I'm there! I weighed in this morning at 149.6 with a loss of 1 pound, yay!

I just noticed the width of my blog cut off alot of the pictures, sorry about that. I have to figure out how to fix that.

I've been off work since Wednesday (and enjoying it!), and yesterday I got all my landscaping done in the front of my house, it looks great! And I'm sore from all the up and down, so I suppose that is good too.

Well I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend, I'm heading up north again (all my pre-portioned food in hand!). Promise I will catch up on everyone's blog on Monday!

Happy 4th and Some Pics

First, the scale was holding steady...in the 140's. Go me!

Second, Happy 4th to all the Americans who read :)

And third, here are some pics from last weekend up north, unfortunately I didn't take as many as I'd hoped, I'm going back up this weekend, and will take more. The first couple were taking about 545a on Saturday when we were getting ready to leave for the island. The next one was taken going over the Mackinac Bridge at 615a. And the next ones are of my brother playing in his jeep on the rocks, to give you an idea of what the day consisted of. Enjoy!

A Successful Weekend

Well good news! My weekend went exactly as planned and I stayed on plan! I ate what I brought up with me, and I ate a reasonable dinner out with the family on Saturday night. There is a local Italian Joint up there that has awesome food, and the family always goes there to eat. So when we got there I opted for the 5 oz baked whitefish, with a side of corn and spaghetti, and a garden salad with vinegarette dressing. I counted everything, and while I did go over a few points from my daily allowance, I think the walking, and climbing in and out of the jeep all day Saturday compensated for that.

I figure I did alright, since when I stepped on the scale this morning, I'm show I'm down .6 from Friday, yay!

I was really worried about being away from home, and trying to stay on program, but I succeeded..Major NSV.

Other than that had a great weekend, I got a few pictures, and I'm planning to head up again this weekend to get some hiking and boating in, so that should be fun.

Crazy busy at work today, so a short post, I'll update more tomorrow, maybe with some July goals, Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Good News

Good News on a couple different fronts. One, I stepped on the scale this morning and it said 150.0lbs....so, that's a three pound loss from last week, and oh-so close to being in the 140's again. I'm not really expecting to be in the 140's for weigh in tomorrow, but knowing that I'm getting closer, that's making me happy. Hopefully I can see them next week! Plus it's a little extra incentive to be good this weekend.

But being good this weekend just got increasingly easier, haha. I decided on Saturday Morning to go with my youngest brother to Drummond Island, where he is planning on spending all day saturday playing with his Jeep, which he's spent about the past year building, hoping to make magazine covers with it. It's going to be fun, and best of all, I'll only have what I bring to eat, so no temptation. I guess we are going to be meeting some of his buddies for breakfast when we get there, but I will just have my cup of coffee, and eat what I bring before or after. So that's exciting.

I promise to take some pictures, because the island is suppose to be gorgeous. For those of you not in Michigan (or familiar with Michigan for that matter), I am going to be heading to my parents place, which is about 3.5 hours straight north of where I live on Friday night, and then Saturday morning, we'll be heading farther north (about 2.5 hours) over the Mackinac Bridge and into the UP, and then we will have to take a ferry to the island. It's quite an adventure, but for those of you who have never been to Northern Michigan, or the Upper Peninsula (the U.P. as we call it), you should think about taking a vacation up there sometime, it's like nothing you will ever see, I promise that.

Other than that, good eating day today, although I'm still fighting the cold/allergy thing, so it's wearing me out. But it finally cooled off, and today it only got up to about 75 outside...NICE! And Saturday on the island it's going to only be 68! Perfect weather for me!

Anyways, I promise lots of pictures. I hope everyone is have a great healthy day!

A good Saturday

So I started the day off on a good foot. I jumped on the scale first thing, and I was 1.4lbs lighter than yesterday, which would mean a .2 loss from the week before. God the scale can frustrate me sometimes.

Today was busy, I started off the day by going down to the farmers market in Ann Arbor, and then picking up all my veggies and fruits for the week on the way home. Its amazing how much money eating right can cost. It was much cheaper to eat bags of ruffles at 2 for $4.

Then I ate lunch, picked some strawberries, froze those, a friend stopped by for a bit, went to church with mom and dad, went grocery shopping, went for a hike with the dog, and then came home. Needless to say I'm whopped.

I'm not going to post a menu, but I earned 5 activity points today, and I ate them all. So I ate 27 points today.

Anyways, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm off to bed I think!

A Rainy Day in Michigan

Alright, I promised a real post, and since I know your all just chomping at the bit for a real post (who am I kidding? Only myself, ha ha).

I've seriously been so crazy busy lately, at work, at home, everything, I feel like I never sit down, which is a good thing. If I'm not sitting, I'm not eating, haha.

On Friday Night, I went and picked strawberries after work, and I managed to pick about another 16lbs. Then I came home, ate, cleaned all the berries, took Duke on a walk (about an hour) and then came home, showered and hit the sack.

Saturday I got up early and went rollerblading, and then came home and got stuff ready to do more Jam with my berries. Then I helped a guy from work load up a truck full of patio stones that I had I wanted to get rid of, and then I made Jam. After the Jam I went over to my parents and worked in my garden for a couple hours. I think I overheated myself doing that, so when I got home, I just laid on the couch for a bit to cool down. After that, dinner, went to check out some flowers at the local greenhouse and get a slurpee, and home and to bed :)

Sunday, I got up early again, took the dog on a long walk (70 minutes) and then went to pick more berries (just enough to eat for the week), ran to get flowers, get my truck washed, to the grocery store and back home. Then over to my parents to get the flowers planted for my dad for fathers day and to water my garden. Then back home to do laundry and that kind of stuff. Later on dinner with dad and the family for fathers day and some relaxing :)

Last night was an off night for my activity, so I got home and made some dinner, and I just did some much needed yardwork. Darn weeds were overtaking my landscaping.

I did manage to get some new Rollerblades last night. I got the Rollerblade Marathon Carbon W's. They are absolutely awesome, I tried them on last night, but I don't know if I can justify the money I spent on them. I seriously haven't had a new pair of skates in 12 years, and I use them a ton, so I know I deserve them, but I have a hard time justifying the money. So they are sitting on the table, and I'm trying to decide whether I am going to keep them or not. I really want to skate an inline Marathon, and these would make that totally possible.

Other than that, nothing really new. I'm hoping for a good loss this week, but I'm still feeling rather bloated from TOM, so I don't know. I'm getting down about not losing weight. If I don't lose in the next couple weeks, I might try the Wendi Plan to try to "bust the plateau". We'll see. But I've had a great eating week, and my activity has been on par with what I planned, so I'm hoping.

I hope everyone is doing great, and having a fabulous day. Thanks so much for all your kinda, and encouraging comments :)

The Weekend in Review

I had an awesome weekend! Busy Busy, but awesome nonetheless!

Friday night, I had a ton of running around to do, so I ran over to my parents, checked on my garden, and then ran around getting stuff ready for my canning adventures on Saturday. Needless to say, by the time I got home, it was like 930, and I was bushed.

Saturday, I got up early (well early for me on a Saturday), which was about 730. The Dog and I took a nice walk around the neighborhood (about 4 miles), and then I ran to Kroger to get a few last things I needed for my strawberry stuff, and then got home, and the roomie got home and we went pickin'. My goal was to pick 25-30lbs, Well I like crazy overpicked, and ended up coming home with about 50lbs. So I made extra stuff, I made Low Sugar Jam, No Sugar Jam, Regular Jam, Preserves and then 2 batches of Strawberries in Syrup. I have lots of Jam now, although I plan to do more this weekend. I want to whip out several more batches of Low Sugar Jam, because that is what I will primarily be using, the other stuff is more for gifts and special occasions. So I finally finished that up around 9 or 930, and then just relaxed the rest of the evening.

Sunday, I managed to stay busy too. I got up early again went on a five mile bike ride, and finished one stray batch of preserves, got laundry done, cleaned the hot tub out, and then went over and worked in the garden. Came home, took the dog on a walk, Made dinner, finished laundry and then relaxed (which I still didn't manage to sit down til almost 8!). So I was utterly exhausted, I needed to come back to work this morning to rest! haha.

I think I decided to switch my weigh in Day to Friday Mornings. Seems as though I'm always running around a lot Friday Nights, and my dinners and snacking doesn't happen til late on Friday night, so I think it effects my weigh in on Saturday Mornings a bit. So I moved it to Friday Mornings now. We'll see how it goes.

So the Mileage Report for my June Goals is as follows:

This Week: 10 miles (combo of walking and cycling!)
June Total: 14 miles

Other than that, not much new and exciting. I hope everyone is having a healthy and happy day. Menu Later!

A Quicky Post

Today hasn't even been busy at work, but somehow I managed to completely forget to update :) I think it's because I've been trying to narrow down what exactly I'm going to do with all the Strawberries I plan to pick tomorrow. But this week I think I've narrowed it down to Strawberry Jam, Strawberry Preserves and Strawberries in Syrup, and then just freezing some with sugar on them, and leaving some to munch on throughout the week. Then it's onto figuring out what exactly I'm going to do with the next batch I pick, haha.

So my weekend is shaping up pretty good. Tonight I have the house to myself , I love a house to myself! But unfortunately I have alot of running around to do! I have to run and check on my garden (promise pictures soon Carolyn!), then running around trying to get everything ready for canning before all the store close at 9 or 10. Tomorrow will be consumed by strawberries, and no plans on Sunday as of yet, probably some relaxing (and maybe some pulling weeds in my flowerbeds at home!).

Weigh In is tomorrow, and my fingers are crossed for a good loss, as I've been on program all week! Even just a .4lb loss will put me under 150, which I haven't seen in YEARS (well with the exception of one point in May!). So I'm excited, I'll report tomorrow.

Until then, I hope everyone has a great weekend!
