Well this week has been good so far (knock on wood!), and I have felt under control for the first time since recommitting, thats a great feeling. Although the tootsie roll pops at work sure have been calling my name this week. But I'm counting them, so whats the harm right?

A sleeping friend means...

I can update! ha ha. I think she's had too many nights without a ton of sleep, so she is snoring on the couch right now (and the dog is too, and he hasn't do anything!), so I have a few minutes to get an update in.

I'm a pleased to say I stayed completely on plan at the wedding last night. Very hard to do when there is an open bar and a ton of yummy food and wedding cake. BUT! I avoided it. For dinner I had some salad with a little dressing, one red potato that was baked, some green beans mixed with almonds (although I picked the almonds out, those high point little devils!), and then I had a chicken leg and thigh that was baked, and peeled the skin off. I didn't touch the open bar, nor the cake, go me.

Although the scale has remained rather pissed at me the last couple days, and I don't know why. I know I ate alot on Friday night, but I counted it the best I could, and still have flex left, which I haven't touched, and yesterday was on program.

If I see a gain this week, not the end of the world, but still,I would be a little perplexed. I will have gain next week from TOM.

So my goals for this coming week:

Don't touch my Flex. Period.
Get to the gym 3 times for a Interval Training Workout.
Eat more Fruits and Vegetables (I already eat 3-4 servings, but try for more).
Be accountable, you guys will see menus every night.
Be conscious of my nibbles and licks....they add up!

Alright that's it for now, but everyone have a healthy happy day!

Been a Busy Week!

Sorry for the lack of updates this week, it's been pretty busy. I worked Monday-Wednesday, and I had a date that went well :) Wednesday evening a friend on mine came into town, and she's staying with me, so I have been entertaining since then. The eating has been good with the exception of last night, which for some reason I ate my face off. But I counted it, and moved on. And today has been good.

Tonight is the wedding that the friend is in town for, so I'm going to try my best at the wedding, lots of veggies. I don't know if it is buffet style (I am hoping), or they are serving you something and you don't have a choice over what you eat. But I'll do the best I can and stay OP.

No other huge plans for the weekend, just more entertaining of the friend, and then something with the family on Sunday.

Until weigh in, I hope everyone is having a healthy and happy week!

Weigh In

Well, I had a gain this morning, which I fully expected. Couple bad days in a week will do that to ya. Luckily I was just up 1.2 pounds. I've been back on track, and the scale is heading in the right direction, so I am hoping for a good weigh in next week!

It will be a trying week though, I will have a friend in, and staying with me from Wednesday evening through Sunday Morning, and we have a wedding on Friday. So it will take work, but I know I can do it!

Hope you guys are having a great weekend!

tgif!

Well the end of the week has been much more in control than that beginning of the week. The important thing is that I got that control back, and I'm back on plan. The scale is showing to be up a little more than a pound right now, but if I can get out of this week with only a gain of about a pound, I will be really happy. Then I can hope for a nice loss the next week.

This weekend, I have a quiet house all to myself (no roommate, yes!). So I'm hoping to get somethings done around there, including these place cards I am planning to make for my mom for her big Thanksgiving Dinner ( I have about 30 to make, I need to start now!). They should turn out really cute, and when I get them done, I will have to take some pictures and show you guys. Other than that, pretty mellow weekend, I have no sweetheart (well except my dog), so i won't be celebrating sweetest day, although the weather is going to be nice, so maybe my sweetheart and I will get out for a hike.

Had a really good dinner last night, called Sweet and Spicy Chicken. I will post the recipe this weekend. Good, and low point. Unfortunately my version was a little higher in points because apparently no one in my area carries sugar-free peach preserves. So I had to use regular (which I did reduce), but they are 50 calories for 1 Tablespoon! Holy calories batman!

Well i think that's it for now, but I hope everyone has a great weekend, and keep up the good work guys! Happy Sweetest Day! Weigh In Report on Sunday AM.

Feeling more in control.

I feel much more in control today. I'm incredibly hungry (probably because my body had no good food yesterday, only crap), but I'm pushing through it. I don't know what came over me yesterday (or Sunday for that matter), but I feel better today. Only takes a couple days of eating bad, to remember how bad my body feels when I do.

The scale was surprisingly down this morning (which it was up from Sunday's incident anyways), so hopefully it continues in that direction so I can minimize a gain from the said "incidents".

Other than the crap eating, things have been going ok. Nothing real new to report. I'm thinking of going back to school again. I graduated with my Bachelors in 2002 and my masters in 2006. Now I am thinking about getting a Master's in Accounting so that I can sit for the CPA exam. I know that what I'm doing I don't want to do the rest of my life. Just not sure exactly what I do want to do. Gotta love trying to figure that out huh?

Alright, off to eat my healthy lunch, Hope your having a healthy and happy day bloggers!

Way off track....

God, I've been so off track, both Sunday and Today. Monday went well, and was on track all day! What is wrong with me? I'm sure to see a gain this week, probably a sizable one at that. I feel gross, as I always do when I eat like crap. I don't know what's gotten into me.

Back on track, starting right now.

Weigh In

So I decided yesterday to switch my weigh in day to Sunday Mornings, I always eat my only meal out during the week on Sunday Afternoon, so I take on a bunch of sodium, and usually weigh more on Monday mornings, so I switched to Sundays. So the good news is, today I was down 3.6 pounds. Yay!

5 weeks left to lose 5.4lbs. I can do it!

Bad news is, today has not been a good day of eating, we all have a bad say every now and then right?

Back on track starting now.

A New Seasonal Recipe

Posted on my recipe blog is a little brew I made up tonight that turned out awesome, I call it Pumpkin Pie Pudding! Enjoy!

Happy Saturday!

Last night, I had so much fun. My friend and I took her little one (who is three) to Greenfield Village, where they have a special Halloween thing. It was a chilly night, and a bit crowded for my taste, but just a ton of fun. The path's were all lit with Hand carved Pumpkins, and the kids got to trick or treat at different stations and got some goodies. Plus I got some Activity Points for all the walking!

The scale has been happy the last couple days, and I'm really hoping it stays that way, because it will be a great loss this week.

I've done ok on the food front this week. Not great, but I have counted everything I've eaten, and I still have flex points left, so thats good right?

I had the pleasure of trying some Edys Pumpkin Ice Cream last night, and it was so yummy. Hard to eat just one serving that is for sure!

Other than that, no serious plans for the weekend, but I'm sure I will come up with something exciting to do and post about on monday.

Hope you all have a health and happy weekend!

Getting older has it's perks

So the other day, when I rejoined weight watchers, I decided to put in the big age of 26, because well, I was now closer to 26 than I was to 25, so I might as well suck it up and update it now (B-day is Nov 1). Well my old weight range was 131 to 151. I was always on the high side, even when I felt great at 150!. But now being the big 2-6, that weight range is 131 to 158lbs. They must assume your metabolism slows at 26, and its alright to be heavier. So my goal of 145 is directly in the middle of my new given weight range, so I feel even better about it!

Things have been going good weight watchers wise. I haven't had any freak out incidents, I think my munching might be under control, but I'm sure I'll have to face it again sooner or later, its my nature!

The scale showed this morning I was down over three pounds from my last weigh in, hopefully I can keep them off for weigh in day. That would be awesome!

I've had several good meals this week, I will have to post some recipes when I get time, I'm sure you will enjoy them.

I promised myself if I behaved all week, I could have apple cider and a homemade doughnut from the apple orchard this weekend, and so far I've behaved. There is this small apple orchard not far from me, tucked back on a dirt road, that not many people know about. Ever since we were kids, apple cider and doughnuts from there have been tradition. Perhaps a tradition I indulged in too much. I would often find myself eating several of their yummy freshly handmade doughnuts (in plain, blueberry, pumpkin or apple flavor) in one sitting. I've avoided them this year, even though I go get my apples there, and they smell so good. So saturday morning, I am going to go, and buy one doughnut (which kind I haven't decided!) and enjoy it. I figure it really can't be any worse than a Tim Horton's doughnut, and that's what I have flexies for!

Alright, now that I've probably made you guys all hungry from cider and doughnuts (My job here is finished...just kidding), I'm going to get back to work. Have a great healthy and happy day my friends!

Weigh In and The Weekend.

So this morning at Weigh In, I was up 1.2 pounds, which is my normal TOM gain, so I'm not going to sweat it. Although it ticks me off, I jumped on the scale Friday and Sunday, and you know what, I was actually down .4lbs, and then up 1.2 today....why does the scale have to be so fickle. But at least I know I will see a good loss next week, which will be motivating.

So I've decided to revise my goals. Initially when I set out on Weight Watchers last January, I set my goal at 145lbs. Somehow, over the course of the last 10 months, it's gradually worked it's way down to 140, and 137 as a personal goal. I don't even know why. 145 was a good goal, a doable goal, somewhere I would be happy, so why did I let the goal I set for myself by 8lbs under this? Do we do this on purpose, keep moving that goal lower and lower based on other people's goals, or based on where people are telling us we should be? Well Weight Watchers has my healthy weight range as 131 to 158lbs, and I think 145 is a good goal. Would I like to be a little less than that? Would I love to see the 130's? Yes. I've never been in the 130's since I was grown, even when I was skinny, so why should I try to get there now? So what does this mean? My new goal is 145. It's a perfect goal for me. It's where I wanted to be when I initially set out, and that's where I am going to end up!

Other than that, nothing much new on this end. I've still been fighting a cold/allergies for the past couple weeks, which is taking it's toll on me, but I'm happy to say, I've almost kicked it.

Nice healthy week of meals planned here. I'm trying to remember what's on the chopping block for meals, here they are. Southwestern Macaroni Salad, Vegetable Beef Casserole, Garlic Clove Chicken, Tuna Spaghetti Pie and there is another one, but I can't remember right now! Macaroni Salad is dinner tonight. Recipe will be posted if it's a winner.

Have a safe, healthy and happy day bloggers. Back to work for me!

An Update

Well this will probably be a pretty quick update, as I seem to actually be busy, what a novel idea!

Date #2 did not go as well as date number 1 for a variety of reasons. But the first and foremost being I seem to be the one doing all the talking (and really, I'm anti-social, so this poses a problem), then he doesn't seem to ask many questions about me, which gets kinda boring trying to come up with stuff to ask him. Also, he seems to be telling me the same things over and over again, so it makes me wonder if he can't remember what girl he told them to, and which one he didn't. So it leaves me at whether or not to go out with him again, which I'm leaning towards no, but I haven't decided yet.

As far as Weight Watchers is going, I'm doing well. I haven't been feeling up to par, but I've still been eating my points. I'm excited to weigh in on Monday and possibly see a loss (although TOM will be making his appearance, and we know how well that goes over!).

I had Pan Fried Fish Last night for dinner, and it was ok, but nothing spectacular. Tonight I am having pasta filled (stuffed) peppers. It's a new recipe, and if it goes well, I'll post it.

Other than that, nothing to new and exciting, just waiting for fall to actually arrive around here, it's been so mild for october!

Anyways, hope you all are having a healthy and happy day!

An Awesome Weekend.

You know, it's not very often that I say I had an awesome weekend. But I did. It was great. Let me tell you a little about it, but first, my weigh in this morning was down .2 pounds

All in all, the bad of the weekend included me over eating on Saturday. I honestly don't know what came over me. I was making peanut butter cookies, and I did great, I only had one, and then I counted it and everything, and then I went into bottomless pit mode and ate everything in site. I knew I wasn't doing good, and at that point I threw in the towel. Although I did top it off with a healthy dinner. Once I got home from dinner with the family, It hit me like a ton of brick. A cold that is. I started feeling the chills, I got a headache, I plugged up, the throat hurt, I just felt miserable.

Sunday was pretty much, more of the same. I felt like crap, and spent more of the day on the couch watching tv and drinking green tea. I did stay on plan though, and ate within my points, so that was a good thing.

Why was this an awesome weekend you ask? It sure doesn't sound like one right? Bad Eating, being sick. But it was Friday that just made my weekend great.

I met a great guy on Friday night. We went out for drinks, and it went great, and better yet, he didn't even wait for 12 hours to ask me out again! We're going out again tonight, and even with not feeling so great, I have a smile from ear to ear. Pending everything goes good, I will let you guys in on some details very soon. But that's what made my weekend so awesome!

I hope everyone is having a great, healthy and happy day!
