Menu 11.29.07

Well I've been doing good, I've been on plan for a week as of tomorrow, so a NSV in itself being the temptations I've resisted at work. I dont know that I will see a loss this week, as it's my TOM gain week, but at least I won't be upset knowing that.

For some reason I haven't been getting on the scale daily this week, and I think it's working better. So I am going to go with the weight watchers way of just stepping on once a week for right now. We'll see how that works. My goal is to be OP completely until Christmas. Which I do admit will be hard with alot of the baking that I will be doing.

So I have a question for my loyal readers, I've decided to make cookie trays for the guys at work as a christmas present, we have about 25 employees, so I'm talking alot of cookies (and baking), if you were to get a cookie tray, what kinds of different cookies would you guys like to see on that tray? I need ideas, I would maybe like to try and put 10-15 different types of cookies on the trays.

Well I had a NSV of sorts today. I have a serious issue with nuts. Nuts of any sort just get me. I say "oh just one" and then end up eating a cup, and we all know how many points that is. Well today at work one of our customers graciously decided to bring in a canister of mixed nuts which they decided to put out on the lunchroom table, which I had to walk by about 100 times today. Needless to say I never touched one! Not one! Also they had a ton of desserts on the table, leftover from one of the girls thankgiving dinners, and I never even tasted them! yay! go me!

I'm here, I Promise!

Sorry for the lack of posting, seems this time of year always gets way busy for me, and between trying to help plan thanksgiving dinner with mom, and working on some crafts for thanksgiving, I haven't had anytime to post!

I had a pound gain this week, which I can't say was unexpected as my dirt cake experience turned into a bad day.

I just wanted to post to say hello, and I'm still alive....and On track!

a real post!

Well I was just realizing it had been awhile since I wrote an actual post, I'm sorry, I'm slacking. I've been fighting this cold, and with work picking up, I've been a tired puppy lately.

Still fighting the cold, it's been a week now. I am definitely starting to feel better, finally, but I'm still congested and have the yucks a bit. So hopefully by the weekend, I'll be feeling A+ again. Can't wait for food to taste like something again, instead of cardboard!

Well things with K went south. No real reasons, I was the one who said no more. There were a lot of differences between us, too many for me to deal with. I'll find the right one eventually!

On the weight watchers front, I think everything is going ok, I've been making sure, even through being sick that I'm eating my points, because I don't want my body to be starved and want to make up for it once I'm healthy again. I've been eating lots of veggies, not doing so hot on my milk, as I'm trying to avoid it while sick. But I've been staying at my 22 points a day, and I haven't had any "off the wagon" days in awhile. I am hoping to see a nice loss this week.

Kathy, I will post the Curry Tuna recipe this weekend, it's really yummy, and very low point!

Noelle, the whole grain apple pancakes, I take Roni's Whole Grain Pancake Recipe and cut up 2 or 3 apples and add them at the end. I also sub out the other spices for apple pie spice. This time I also instead of making individual pancakes, I put the apples on the bottom of a greased 9X13 pan and dumped the batter over them, and baked it at 425 for about 15 minutes. Made making pancakes so much less work!

Other than that, nothing terribly exciting going on. Tonight is meat shopping for my next round of meals, trying to get them handled before the holiday shopping madness that I'm sure will be around at the grocery store starting this weekend!

Can you tell I'm bored?

This is the third post for the day, although really I suppose it's the only one that's been a true post.

I've been home sick from work today (hence me being bored). I woke up this morning with a terrible sinus infection, and basically feel like my head got ran over by a train. I hate taking days off work for being sick. I get so bored, and all my body feels like doing is laying on the couch, while all my brain wants to do is something else, anything else.

Today really hasn't been a good eating day. I haven't tried to count. This morning when I woke up, my throat hurt so bad, the only thing I could get down was ice cream, so I ate ice cream. Yes, for breakfast. I would've rather had oatmeal, but it wasn't going to happen. I've been nibbling all day, but I haven't been tracking, because I figure I'm sick, listen to my body, if it's hungry, feed it. It's important to get better.

I'm hoping to be back to work tomorrow, I got some meds, so hopefully after a night of good rest, and 24 hours of antibiotics, I will at least feel functional.

Nothing else really new. I've been seeing a new guy, we'll call him "K" for right now. We've been out three times, and things seem to be going well. We are suppose to be going for dinner and movie one night this weekend, and I'm looking forward to it.

Tonight I am making Raspberry Chicken with some of the Raspberry Vinegar that I canned this year, I have been looking forward to it, although I cant really taste anything, yuck! But I will let you guys know how it is, and if it's good I will post the recipe. Hopefully you guys can enjoy a few that I posted earlier.

Anyways, I'm outta here to rest and cook, until tomorrow, stay healthy and happy everyone!

I was tagged!

Well today I am home sick, so I am finally going to post some of those recipes that I've been promising. Check back for those today.

A couple days ago I was tagged by superjay to play a blog game, and now that I am home sick for the day, I finally get a chance to play!

So here's the game:

So here we go (lets see if I can come up with 7!).

1. I am completely an organization freak, probably bordering on OCD with some things. I plan my meals 6 weeks in advance and do one shopping trip. I then gather all the recipes and put them together by week, and make "fresh food lists" we need for each week. Everything of course is word processed. Organization extends to my routine, I'm also crazy about keeping my routine, makes me anxious when I can't.

2. I love my dog more than most people. I am not that much of a social person, I enjoy alot of quiet time, but my dog, he is the best. I'm so lonely when I am in the house and he's not around.

3. I have the best parents in the world. Most people have parents who won't help them, or don't talk to them, or a wide variety of other things. I work with my parents everyday, they are always buying me something or helping me out in someway, I don't know what I would do without them. Same with my brothers. Although my mom does call every night to make sure I am home for the night, and this drives me nuts. But when she forgets, I think something is wrong with her!

4. I like school. I know, I know. But I do. I finished up my bachelors degree when I was 20, and my masters when I was 24. And I would really love to go back and get my PhD, but don't think it's a viable option. I could go to school my whole life, and probably be happy.

5. My middle toe is longer than all my other toes. I always thought this was such an oddity, and I'd never seen someone else with it. Until my grandpa noticed it one day, and showed me his was the same way.

6. I work in phone sales during the day, selling auto parts to local body shops and repair facilities. I am on the phone most of the day....but I hate phones. I absolutely despise talking on the phone, and if there was one thing I wish I could get rid of, it would be that.

7. I love to cook and bake. Although I've never had anyone to teach me. Pretty much everything I've learned as been self taught, and I really wish I still had my mom's mom around to teach me, she was an awesome cook, and died long before I was interested in it (when I was 17). I love trying new things, especially now that I always try to make them healthy...it's a challenge. I would love to have my own cooking book/cooking show, I would be in heaven.
