A New Look

Well I decided to go with a new look for the blog..plus I think it kinda looks fall like, and I love fall! So, here's the new look. Plus I put a shiny new ticker up top for my goal right now. 8 pounds in 9 weeks. I think I can do it.

So far the first couple days back on plan have went off without a hitch. Used a flex point last night, but I wasn't upset about it, I was hungry, and that's what they are there for.

Today is rather gloomy up here, but we are finally getting relief from the summer like weather in September (about time!). Its only 64 right now, and I think it's suppose to be about that the rest of the day, with rain. I like the rain, I just wish I would happen on days where I could spend them curled up on the couch, because truly that's what I want to do right now!

I had Dijon Crusted Fish last night for dinner, and that was totally good (I had it before), and tonight I have a meal in the crockpot, which is sweet and sour curry chicken stew. It smelled really good, and if it is, I will definitely post the recipe for you guys to try.

Other than that, not much new, same old stuff. Back to work I go. Hope you all are having a great day!

I'm baaaack!

So I rejoined weight watchers yesterday, and I'm going strong! I was up a few pounds when I finally got on the scale yesterday, but I'm not sweating it. In the two months I was off of weight watchers I gained about 1.5 pounds. Well I'm back for now, and my goals is to take off another 8 pounds in the 9 weeks before the start of the holiday season. As we all know the darn holiday season can be tricky.

Yesterday went off without a hitch, and today has been fine too. Tonight I am having Dijon Crusted Fish for dinner. I'm still sticking with the Abs Diet Core Foods, and their eating 6 times a day plan, which seems to be working out good thus far. I've set my new weigh in day to Monday's, I figure it will give me incentive to behave on weekends more, I mean who wants to have a bad weekend, when you have worked all week to be so good!

On another note, I'm so excited fall TV is back in full swing. Last night was Prison Break (I love that show!), and tonight is House. What is everyone else's favorite fall shows?

I hope everyone is having a great healthy and happy day. I promise to get your blogs soon! Work is slowing up for the time being...FINALLY!

Bottomless Pit

That's what I feel like I have been this week. I eat dinner, my stomach is still growling. I've come to realize what "real hunger" is and what "bored hunger" is, and it seems as though this week, regardless of what I put in my body, my tummy is still growling and hungry...not good for weight loss. So this week has been rough, I'm trying really hard today. I didn't get on the scale this morning as I know I am up, clothes still fitting fine and all, but I just know.

So trying really hard to combat my stomach's calling today and just eat what I know is within my limits.

No huge plans for the weekend, friend in from out of town, dinner with her tonight, bridal shower tomorrow, planning to make a coconut cake for my mom on Sunday (I'll post pictures if I think to take them and it turns out!).

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

God, I've been so busy!

Sorry, I'm terrible about keeping up to date on posts (and reading others blogs). In the summer when we are slow at work, I find myself wasting away my afternoons browsing on the internet, unfortunately now that I have to work at work (gasp! how dare they make me work at work!), I don't have as much time.

All is doing ok on the Weight-Maintenance front. I am sitting towards the high end of my range right now, but I'm working on that, with tracking for a couple days.

I've still been trying to follow the Abs Diet Principles, and I think it's a really healthy way to eat. Not really looking to lose weight with it, just looking to be healthier, I don't need all that processed garbage all the time.

I'm still going to the gym, go me! Although I did cut down what I was doing. I was doing 6 of 7 days a week, and I think that was a little much. Plus I was doing some serious weight lifting too, and I think in turn I was gaining weight from the addition of muscle, which regardless if its "good weight" or "fat" I don't want to gain weight. I still have fat to lose before I worry about muscle, so I'm just going intense cardio 4 or 5 days a week now. After 6 weeks I will evaluate where I am at and determine what to do then. So that is my goal right now, In 6 weeks to make it to the gym 18 times (roughly three times a week), but I would more like that number to be 25-30 times. But I'm giving myself leeway.

At the gym for Cardio I've been doing High Intensity Interval Training, which is suppose to be the ultimate fat-blasting tool. We will see how it works. I've been running on the treadmill for it, and I've never enjoyed running, but I actually enjoy this for the most part. Plus the workouts are short, about 20 minutes, which I love, it doesn't take up all night at the gym.

Other than that, not much new around here. I'm back on the dating scene. When I find someone interesting I will post some details.

Weigh In will be posted Friday.

Hope everyone is doing great!

Weigh In

In the haste of being busy, I almost forgot to post my weigh in! I am down 2.4 pounds from last week. I was very happy, but I was up last week due to TOM, so not too much of a surprise.

I've been trying to get the eating thing down now that I'm going to the gym 6 days a week. I can tell I'm burning way more calories, because I'm hungry all the time. I'm just trying to find that "balance". I'll eventually find it!

I hope everyone has a great weekend, I promise a longer post monday!

Not such a great weekend.

Now, it's not very often that I have a "bad" food weekend, but this weekend was one of them, and the scale showed it this morning. I knew it wasn't going to be pretty, I ate bad, and I didn't drink my water. So I'm hoping when TOM finally get here, I've drank a gallon of water, tomorrow will be better.

I honestly don't even know what got into me this weekend, Friday night went off without a hitch, and Saturday went well too, up until about 1030 (past my normal bedtime I suppose!), I got into the triscuits and hummus, and then into the graham sticks and peanut butter, and then into the ice cream. I didn't eat a ton of each, but a little bit of each is alot of calories.

Yesterday went off well, I was eating totally on schedule until I got to my parents house, and my body was ready for it's 330 snack, and dinner was suppose to be at 4, so I was avoiding eating, well then dinner got pushed back, and I got to snacking, and I hit the nuts. Almonds and Pecans to be exact, at least they were the good raw kind, not the roasted, salted or sugar coated ones. Then I got into the trail mix, and finally we sat down for dinner, which was planned to be my cheat meal for the week (Abs Diet allows one meal where you can eat what you want), and I had some meatballs, mashed potatoes and sweet corn. Needless to say, I was overstuffed (which I HATE that feeling) when I left my parents. The rest of the evening was fine. I made Blondies for work today, and I did split one with the roomie, but after that day, is that really an issue?

On a high note, on Friday night I did my first interval training, and it whooped my butt. I was totally tired and sweaty when I was done, so that was a plus. Then Saturday I did my first weight workout, which was by far one of the most intense workouts I have ever done with weights...ever. They have you do circuits, which wow, it's rough. By my second set of lunges, my legs couldn't go past 7 in the reps. They almost gave out. I guess thats a good thing though, it means I'm working out hard enough!

So after my workout on Saturday, My legs were exhausted, so I knew they were going to be sore, but I had no idea just how sore. I seriously haven't been able to move for two days, I've never had my butt hurt....but it does now!

Tonight I have another interval workout, I can imagine that is going to be pretty hard being that I'm having a hard time walking. But this is the point where usually I get out of the habit of going to the gym, just because I will go, I will be sore, and then I will "take a break" until I don't hurt anymore, then I don't end up going back. So, needless to say, I'm going tonight!

Other than that. I've upped the calories I'm taking in to between 1500-1800 a day since I'm working out harder, I don't want to put my body into starvation mode. So I'm back on plan today, and I'm going to be strict for the next two weeks, no cheat meals!

Other than that, nothing terribly exciting going on. It's finally cooling off here in Michigan, I just love the fall. Even more so, I love October, the leaves changing, the cool weather, I just love it, so I can't wait!

I hope everyone is having a good on-plan day, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things!

It's been awhile.

Sorry it's been so long since an update, We are short-handed at work this weekend, and up til today it has been NUTS!

My weekend went well. My roommate was out of town Thursday night thru Tuesday morning, and I decided it would be a good time to get her room sanded, primed and painted like I've been wanting to do. So all weekend I spent doing that. I even hung my first ceiling fan! And it hasn't fallen off the ceiling yet! But needless to say, I finally got her room back together about 8p on Monday night, and it looks great, but as a result of overworking this weekend, I started coming down with a cold on Tuesday, and then I've been exceptionally busy here at work, so I am really looking forward to a quiet weekend of relaxing, it's much needed.

The ABS Diet Principles are working well for me. I'm eating 6 meals a day, and I don't feel hungry very often. I'm using spark people to track the calories, and I'm doing well. I'm still hovering in my lower maintenance range even with TOM on his way, so i'm expecting to possibly be under 150 again once he packs his bags and leaves.

I'm starting interval training and some total body and abs conditioning involved with the Abs Diet next week, I was planning to start this week, but this pesky cold had me not feeling like much.

I'm so sorry for the lack of comments on blogs, I'm trying to catch up!

I hope everyone is having a great, healthy and happy day!

Weigh in tomorrow!
